Joseph Cory is an artist and assistant professor in the department of Art and Design at Judson University (Elgin, IL) where he also serves as the director of the Draewell Gallery of Art. He received a BA from Central College (IA), a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an MFA from the University of Chicago. His artwork has been exhibited nationally and in various venues around Chicago. He is a recent recipient of The Elgin Cultural Arts Commission Individual Artist Grant and his work won the "Judges Award" at the 2011 Beverly Art Show at the Beverly Art Center in Chicago.

I use paint and my relationship to the suburban landscape to negotiate my existance.
